Press from Frontiers Records 08-March-00: The Good Rats are simply a rock'n'roll legend! Formed during the seventies by mr. Peppi Marchello, lead singer and sole songwriter of the band, The Good Rats have currently released 9 records over the past years, all recently reissued on cd with good sales results in the USA. They have also headlined and played with the likes of Rush, Aerosmith, Meatloaf, Ozzy, Grateful ead, Kiss, Journey, Heart, Bruce Springsteen, Styx and many others over their career.
The current release of their new cd "Tasty Seconds" has energized their current fans and has brought new fans into the fold. If you are going to the Rock'n'Roll Hall Of Fame, be sure to check out the exhibit that includes the Good Rats.
The exciting new lineup includes Peppi Marchello on vocals with his two sons: Stefan on drums and Gene on guitar, along with Denis Perry on fretless 5 string bass. Gene Marchello is especially known in the classic hard rock circles because in 1989 he fronted his own band project "Marchello" releasing an album "Destiny" on CBS Records. He also extensively toured with Ozzy Osbourne, Meat Loaf and Extreme. The sound style of this new cd is quite varied referring to the sound of bands such as Kiss, Journey, Queen and the classic arena rock sound of the eighties.
